Learning Spanish with crosswords
A crossword makes you recall a word from its meaning and spell it exactly, which is why language teachers use them to fix vocabulary. Because the clues here are in Spanish, you practise reading definitions as well as recalling words. Start on Easy until you finish without reveals, then move up.

Questions and answers
Are the Spanish crossword clues written in Spanish?
Yes. Every clue is written in Spanish for that word and level, not translated from English. Headings use Spanish too: Horizontales and Verticales.
Which level should a Spanish learner start with?
Easy. It uses everyday words with short, simple clues and gives about a third of the letters. Medium suits intermediate learners; Hard uses advanced vocabulary of the kind found in DELE exam lists and will stretch native speakers.
How are accents handled?
Accents are dropped in the grid, as in printed Spanish crosswords, but Ñ is its own letter: type ñ on your keyboard and it fills one square.
Is there a new puzzle every day?
Yes, one per level, the same for everyone that day. 'New puzzle' builds as many extra grids as you like from the 454 words in the Spanish bank.
