Using the tools

The tools are free to use for personal, educational and commercial purposes. You don't need an account. Please don't try to disrupt the site, scrape it at a rate that slows it down for others, or copy the site as a whole and republish it as your own.

Results are estimates

The calculators give estimates to help you plan. They follow published tables and formulas, but they can't know everything about your situation. For anything where safety, money or the law is involved (electrical work, structural work, a mortgage, your health) check the result with a qualified professional and your local codes before acting on it. We are not liable for decisions made using the results.

What you create

Anything you make with the tools, such as a comparison picture, a QR code, a resized image or a printed crossword, is yours to use as you like.
